# Skillshare vs Phomemo

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Phomemo at 79% against Skillshare's 62%. Phomemo also leads on chart position (#57 vs unranked). Skillshare's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and ratings volume (25K vs 6.5K). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skillshare sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month and Phomemo sells 24 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Skillshare holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 25K and 6.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Skillshare's written reviews are positive against 79% of Phomemo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 13, 2026.
