# Skillshare vs MasterClass in Childbirth

Skillshare and MasterClass in Childbirth both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of MasterClass in Childbirth's written reviews are positive against 62% of Skillshare's. Skillshare's advantage is ratings volume (25K vs 4) and update cadence (every 10 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skillshare sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month and MasterClass in Childbirth sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MasterClass in Childbirth holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skillshare has 25K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 62% of Skillshare's written reviews are positive against 100% of MasterClass in Childbirth's.

Skillshare ships an update every 10 days, MasterClass in Childbirth every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
