# Skillshare vs UpFlip Academy

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: UpFlip Academy at none against Skillshare's 11. Skillshare's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (25K vs 5). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Skillshare sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $18.99 per month. UpFlip Academy asks for nothing beyond the download.

UpFlip Academy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Skillshare has 25K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Skillshare ships an update every 10 days, UpFlip Academy every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
