# Spades +++ vs Spades Stories

The clearest difference is rating: Spades Stories at 5.0 against Spades +++'s 3.5. Spades Stories also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months). Spades +++'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Spades Stories holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Spades +++ has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Spades +++ ships an update every 8 months, Spades Stories every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
