# ecobee by Generac vs Nosedive

The clearest difference is rating: ecobee by Generac at 4.8 against Nosedive's 3.7. ecobee by Generac also leads on ratings volume (217K vs 28) and chart position (#64 vs unranked). Nosedive's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 30%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ecobee by Generac sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Nosedive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ecobee by Generac holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ecobee by Generac has 217K ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of ecobee by Generac's written reviews are positive against 64% of Nosedive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ecobee by Generac ships an update fortnightly, Nosedive monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
