# ecobee by Generac vs DateVet

The clearest difference is ratings volume: ecobee by Generac at 203K against DateVet's 2. ecobee by Generac also leads on chart position (#64 vs unranked). DateVet's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ecobee by Generac sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DateVet sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DateVet holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ecobee by Generac has 203K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ecobee by Generac ships an update fortnightly, DateVet every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
