# Smart vs FitPro

The clearest difference is rating: FitPro at 3.0 against Smart's 1.7. FitPro also leads on ratings volume (42 vs 6). Smart's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 9%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FitPro holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FitPro has 42 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Smart's written reviews are positive against 9% of FitPro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smart ships an update every 2 months, FitPro every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
