# Countdowns vs RingGauge

The clearest difference is ads: RingGauge at none against Countdowns's shown. RingGauge also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 weeks). Countdowns's advantage is device support (4 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdowns sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and RingGauge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdowns ships an update every 4 weeks, RingGauge every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
