# Memo Notepad vs Notes

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Memo Notepad at 23 against Notes's 4. Notes's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Memo Notepad sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $39.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Memo Notepad against 4.5 for Notes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Memo Notepad has 23 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
