# WebOutLoud vs Read&Write

The clearest difference is rating: WebOutLoud at 4.6 against Read&Write's 3.1. WebOutLoud also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 24%) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WebOutLoud sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Read&Write sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WebOutLoud holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.1. WebOutLoud ships an update weekly, Read&Write monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
