# 爱日记 vs LockNote

The clearest difference is monetization model: LockNote at free against 爱日记's free with in-app purchases. LockNote also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). 爱日记's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 爱日记 sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and LockNote sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

爱日记 ships an update every 3 months, LockNote every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
