# MeisterTask vs Kanban

MeisterTask and Kanban both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of MeisterTask's written reviews are positive against 46% of Kanban's. MeisterTask also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 280) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). Kanban's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MeisterTask sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $16.00 per month and Kanban sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for MeisterTask against 4.5 for Kanban. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MeisterTask has 1.8K ratings behind it against 280, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 83% of MeisterTask's written reviews are positive against 46% of Kanban's.

MeisterTask ships an update every 3 weeks, Kanban fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
