# Coming Light vs f/oss

The clearest difference is update cadence: f/oss at every 6 days against Coming Light's every 2 months. Coming Light's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Coming Light sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and f/oss sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Coming Light ships an update every 2 months, f/oss every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
