# ScreenSaverTool vs CREATIVATE

The clearest difference is rating: CREATIVATE at 4.4 against ScreenSaverTool's 1.7. CREATIVATE also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (402 vs 7). ScreenSaverTool's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CREATIVATE holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CREATIVATE has 402 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of ScreenSaverTool's written reviews are positive against 18% of CREATIVATE's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ScreenSaverTool ships an update every 11 months, CREATIVATE every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
