# Shell Game vs Ball Sort Puzzle

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shell Game at 100% against Ball Sort Puzzle's 50%. Shell Game also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Ball Sort Puzzle's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (5K vs 5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shell Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ball Sort Puzzle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ball Sort Puzzle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ball Sort Puzzle has 5K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Shell Game's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ball Sort Puzzle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Shell Game ships an update every 3 months, Ball Sort Puzzle every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
