# Shell Game vs Cup Chase

The clearest difference is rating: Cup Chase at 5.0 against Shell Game's 4.2. Cup Chase also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months). Shell Game's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shell Game sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Cup Chase sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cup Chase holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shell Game has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Shell Game ships an update every 3 months, Cup Chase every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
