# iSHMU vs BlitzortungLive

The clearest difference is rating: iSHMU at 5.0 against BlitzortungLive's 4.5. iSHMU also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 months). BlitzortungLive's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (665 vs 4). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iSHMU sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. BlitzortungLive asks for nothing beyond the download.

iSHMU holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BlitzortungLive has 665 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of iSHMU's written reviews are positive against 75% of BlitzortungLive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iSHMU ships an update every 2 weeks, BlitzortungLive every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
