# Typing Practice vs Type Flash

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Type Flash at 74% against Typing Practice's 20%. Type Flash also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 122). Typing Practice's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 12 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Typing Practice sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Type Flash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Type Flash holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Type Flash has 1.2K ratings behind it against 122, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Typing Practice's written reviews are positive against 74% of Type Flash's.

Typing Practice ships an update monthly, Type Flash every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
