# Keeble vs Claro ScanPen

The clearest difference is price: Claro ScanPen at $9.99 against Keeble's $24.99. Claro ScanPen also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 6 months). Keeble's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 24%) and in-app purchases (none vs 11). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Keeble costs $24.99 and Claro ScanPen $9.99 up front. Claro ScanPen sells 11 one-off in-app purchases. Keeble asks for nothing beyond the download.

Claro ScanPen holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Claro ScanPen has 147 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Keeble's written reviews are positive against 24% of Claro ScanPen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Keeble ships an update every 6 months, Claro ScanPen every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
