# WidgetCal vs One Calendar

The clearest difference is rating: One Calendar at 4.8 against WidgetCal's 3.6. One Calendar also leads on ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (81% vs 47%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WidgetCal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and One Calendar sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

One Calendar holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: One Calendar has 21K ratings behind it against 1.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of WidgetCal's written reviews are positive against 81% of One Calendar's.

WidgetCal ships an update every 2 weeks, One Calendar fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
