# Skies Learn vs iChineseReader

Skies Learn and iChineseReader both sit at 3.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 43% of Skies Learn's written reviews are positive against 26% of iChineseReader's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iChineseReader holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 91 and 134 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Skies Learn's written reviews are positive against 26% of iChineseReader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Skies Learn ships an update every 3 weeks, iChineseReader every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
