# PC Remote vs Mobile Joypad

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Mobile Joypad at none against PC Remote's 8. Mobile Joypad also leads on review sentiment (50% vs 33%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). PC Remote's advantage is ratings volume (301 vs 2) and rating (3.2 vs 3.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PC Remote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Mobile Joypad asks for nothing beyond the download.

PC Remote holds the better App Store score, 3.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Remote has 301 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of PC Remote's written reviews are positive against 50% of Mobile Joypad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

PC Remote ships an update monthly, Mobile Joypad every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
