# PC Remote vs TapDeck

PC Remote and TapDeck both sit at 3.2 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of TapDeck's written reviews are positive against 33% of PC Remote's. TapDeck also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). PC Remote's advantage is ratings volume (301 vs 3). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PC Remote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and TapDeck sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.2 for PC Remote against 3.3 for TapDeck. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Remote has 301 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 33% of PC Remote's written reviews are positive against 100% of TapDeck's.

PC Remote ships an update monthly, TapDeck every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
