# PC Remote vs Virtual Steering Controller

The clearest difference is rating: Virtual Steering Controller at 4.5 against PC Remote's 3.2. Virtual Steering Controller also leads on review sentiment (75% vs 33%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). PC Remote's advantage is ratings volume (301 vs 4) and monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PC Remote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Virtual Steering Controller sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Virtual Steering Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Remote has 301 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of PC Remote's written reviews are positive against 75% of Virtual Steering Controller's.

PC Remote ships an update monthly, Virtual Steering Controller fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on September 23, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
