# PC Remote vs Micstream

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Micstream at 100% against PC Remote's 33%. Micstream also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.2) and update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). PC Remote's advantage is ratings volume (301 vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PC Remote sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Micstream sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Micstream holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PC Remote has 301 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. PC Remote ships an update monthly, Micstream every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
