# Ruler vs Construction Calc Pro 7

The clearest difference is rating: Construction Calc Pro 7 at 4.3 against Ruler's 3.7. Construction Calc Pro 7 also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). Ruler's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ruler sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Construction Calc Pro 7 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Construction Calc Pro 7 holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Construction Calc Pro 7 has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Ruler's written reviews are positive against 25% of Construction Calc Pro 7's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ruler ships an update every 5 months, Construction Calc Pro 7 every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
