# Countdowns vs Countdown

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown at 4.5 against Countdowns's 3.4. Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (62% vs 47%). Countdowns's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdowns sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown sells 23 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 63 and 103 respectively. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of Countdowns's written reviews are positive against 62% of Countdown's.

Countdowns ships an update every 3 months, Countdown every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
