# Express Checkout vs Wing

The clearest difference is update cadence: Wing at fortnightly against Express Checkout's every 2 months. Wing also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 544). Express Checkout's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.7) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Express Checkout holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wing has 12K ratings behind it against 544, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 75% and 75% positive.

Express Checkout ships an update every 2 months, Wing fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
