# IndieFlix vs Midnight Pulp

The clearest difference is monetization model: Midnight Pulp at free with in-app purchases against IndieFlix's subscription. Midnight Pulp also leads on rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (1.8K vs 51). IndieFlix's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IndieFlix sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Midnight Pulp sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Midnight Pulp holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Midnight Pulp has 1.8K ratings behind it against 51, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 36% of IndieFlix's written reviews are positive against 49% of Midnight Pulp's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
