# IMVU vs TIYA

The clearest difference is rating: IMVU at 4.6 against TIYA's 3.7. IMVU also leads on ratings volume (365K vs 10K) and review sentiment (47% vs 33%). TIYA's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. IMVU sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and TIYA sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

IMVU holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: IMVU has 365K ratings behind it against 10K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 47% of IMVU's written reviews are positive against 33% of TIYA's.

IMVU ships an update fortnightly, TIYA every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
