# Hotlink vs Marki

The clearest difference is rating: Marki at 5.0 against Hotlink's 3.9. Marki also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Hotlink's advantage is ratings volume (219 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Marki holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hotlink has 219 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 17% and 17% positive.

Hotlink ships an update every 3 weeks, Marki every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
