# Kite Student Portal vs Cubelets

The clearest difference is rating: Kite Student Portal at 5.0 against Cubelets's 2.9. Cubelets's advantage is review sentiment (44% vs 24%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kite Student Portal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cubelets has 30 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Kite Student Portal's written reviews are positive against 44% of Cubelets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kite Student Portal ships an update every 7 months, Cubelets every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
