# Write & Learn vs Smart Online Classes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Write & Learn at every 3 days against Smart Online Classes's every 12 months. Write & Learn also leads on iOS requirement (13.5 vs 15.5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Write & Learn sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Smart Online Classes sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Write & Learn ships an update every 3 days, Smart Online Classes every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
