# WDliveapp vs WeatherLink

The clearest difference is price: WeatherLink at Free against WDliveapp's $0.99. WeatherLink also leads on rating (2.7 vs 1.7) and ratings volume (221 vs 3). WDliveapp's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (45% vs 22%). On update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

WeatherLink is free to download; WDliveapp costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WeatherLink holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeatherLink has 221 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of WDliveapp's written reviews are positive against 22% of WeatherLink's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
