# Somfy myLink vs Control4

The clearest difference is rating: Somfy myLink at 4.3 against Control4's 3.5. Somfy myLink also leads on ratings volume (9.1K vs 72) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Control4's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (38% vs 17%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Somfy myLink holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Somfy myLink has 9.1K ratings behind it against 72, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Somfy myLink's written reviews are positive against 38% of Control4's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Somfy myLink ships an update every 4 months, Control4 fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
