# Nextplus vs Text App

The clearest difference is update cadence: Nextplus at every 3 weeks against Text App's every 2 months. Nextplus also leads on ratings volume (89K vs 9.7K) and review sentiment (44% vs 34%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nextplus sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Text App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Nextplus against 4.6 for Text App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextplus has 89K ratings behind it against 9.7K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Nextplus's written reviews are positive against 34% of Text App's.

Nextplus ships an update every 3 weeks, Text App every 2 months. Both last shipped on November 4, 2026.
