# Nextplus vs Text App

The clearest difference is ads: Text App at none against Nextplus's shown. Text App also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). Nextplus's advantage is ratings volume (89K vs 3.5K) and review sentiment (44% vs 30%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nextplus sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Text App sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Nextplus against 4.6 for Text App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nextplus has 89K ratings behind it against 3.5K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 44% of Nextplus's written reviews are positive against 30% of Text App's.

Nextplus ships an update every 3 weeks, Text App every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
