# Hindsight vs RepTool

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hindsight at 72% against RepTool's 33%. Hindsight also leads on ratings volume (395 vs 5) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). RepTool's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hindsight sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. RepTool asks for nothing beyond the download.

RepTool holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hindsight has 395 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Hindsight's written reviews are positive against 33% of RepTool's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hindsight ships an update weekly, RepTool monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
