# Hindsight vs Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Countdown Widget at 100% against Hindsight's 72%. Countdown Widget also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Hindsight's advantage is ratings volume (395 vs 13) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hindsight sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Countdown Widget sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Widget holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hindsight has 395 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Hindsight's written reviews are positive against 100% of Countdown Widget's.

Hindsight ships an update weekly, Countdown Widget every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
