# Hindsight vs Hourly Beep

Hindsight and Hourly Beep both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Hourly Beep's written reviews are positive against 72% of Hindsight's. Hindsight's advantage is ratings volume (396 vs 15) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hindsight sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Hourly Beep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hindsight holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hindsight has 396 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Hindsight's written reviews are positive against 100% of Hourly Beep's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hindsight ships an update weekly, Hourly Beep fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
