# MobStar vs RM Messenger

The clearest difference is rating: RM Messenger at 2.8 against MobStar's 2.0. MobStar's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 13%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

RM Messenger holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of MobStar's written reviews are positive against 13% of RM Messenger's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MobStar ships an update every 9 days, RM Messenger monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
