# Tushara vs Kannada keyboard (Mobile)

The clearest difference is monetization model: Kannada keyboard (Mobile) at free with in-app purchases against Tushara's subscription. Kannada keyboard (Mobile) also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 17 months). Tushara's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tushara sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Kannada keyboard (Mobile) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tushara ships an update every 17 months, Kannada keyboard (Mobile) every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
