# iPostal1 vs Communicake

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Communicake at 100% against iPostal1's 17%. Communicake also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.3) and monetization model (free vs subscription). iPostal1's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Communicake holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iPostal1 has 1.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 17% of iPostal1's written reviews are positive against 100% of Communicake's.

iPostal1 ships an update every 3 weeks, Communicake every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
