# bOS Client vs OSCAR

The clearest difference is rating: OSCAR at 4.7 against bOS Client's 3.7. OSCAR also leads on ratings volume (323 vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). bOS Client's advantage is review sentiment (29% vs 16%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OSCAR holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OSCAR has 323 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of bOS Client's written reviews are positive against 16% of OSCAR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

bOS Client ships an update monthly, OSCAR fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
