# BattleText vs Typeshift

The clearest difference is rating: BattleText at 4.6 against Typeshift's 4.3. BattleText also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 499). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BattleText sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Typeshift sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BattleText holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BattleText has 3.6K ratings behind it against 499, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 50% positive.

BattleText ships an update monthly, Typeshift every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
