# Course Hero vs Camera Math Solver

Course Hero and Camera Math Solver both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of Camera Math Solver's written reviews are positive against 28% of Course Hero's. Camera Math Solver also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). Course Hero's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (65K vs 1.2K). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Camera Math Solver sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Course Hero against 4.6 for Camera Math Solver. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 1.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 68% of Camera Math Solver's.

Course Hero ships an update fortnightly, Camera Math Solver every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
