# Course Hero vs Leap Math

Course Hero and Leap Math both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 73% of Leap Math's written reviews are positive against 28% of Course Hero's. Leap Math also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Course Hero's advantage is ratings volume (65K vs 814) and chart position (#92 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Leap Math sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Course Hero against 4.7 for Leap Math. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 814, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 73% of Leap Math's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
