# Course Hero vs Snap AI

The clearest difference is update cadence: Course Hero at fortnightly against Snap AI's every 4 months. Course Hero also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 2) and chart position (#113 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Snap AI sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Course Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 20% of Snap AI's.

Course Hero ships an update fortnightly, Snap AI every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
