# Course Hero vs Math Solver

The clearest difference is rating: Course Hero at 4.7 against Math Solver's 4.2. Course Hero also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 44) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Math Solver's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 28%) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Math Solver sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Course Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 44, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 65% of Math Solver's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Course Hero ships an update fortnightly, Math Solver monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
