# Course Hero vs Quiz Maker & Tests

The clearest difference is rating: Course Hero at 4.7 against Quiz Maker & Tests's 4.3. Course Hero also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 206) and chart position (#101 vs unranked). Quiz Maker & Tests's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and review sentiment (36% vs 28%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Quiz Maker & Tests sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Course Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 206, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 36% of Quiz Maker & Tests's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Course Hero ships an update fortnightly, Quiz Maker & Tests every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
